Ieva Pudāne

Flute

Ieva Pudāne has studied flute performance in the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Secondary School under Juris Gailītis and obtained a Master’s degree from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under Vilnis Strautiņš in 1999. She developed her skills further in the Conservatoire de Luxembourg under professor Carlo Jans, where she obtained highest degree diplomas in flute performance and chamber music. Ieva has attended the master classes of Andreas Blau, the principal flute of the Berliner Philharmoniker, as well as the master classes of William Bennett, Michie Bennett, Denis Bouriakov, Maxence Larrieu, Gergely Ittzes and János Bálint.

Ieva has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany and Luxembourg. Recently the musician has developed a creative and harmonic duet with the organist Ilze Reine, performing chamber music concerts in Latvia.

Ieva has also worked in the Orchestra Riga and Riga Chamber Players. At the moment Ieva is a musician in the flute group of Sinfonietta Rīga and teaches flute performance at the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Secondary School.
