Ravel, Mendelssohn and Operatic Diva Lisa Larsson
Lisa Larsson's crystal-clear soprano voice lights up the stages of the top opera houses and concert halls, and the majestic vaults of cathedrals around the world. Like a bird flying from a branch to branch, she easily switches between musical styles and genres - from Bach's cantatas and Mahler's symphonies to contemporary soundscapes. In this programme, Larsson will perform a song cycle by the Swedish composer Rolf Martinsson, based on Rabindranath Tagore's love poems. The Romantic era composer Felix Mendelssohn also deals with passions in his concert aria, but in his case it is a tale of betrayal and disillusionment.
