At the end of October, during the height of the golden autumn, the State Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga and the German cellist Friedrich Thiele will meet on the stage of the Elbphilharmonie in a joint concert program. At the orchestra conductor's desk - Aivis Greters.
The concert program includes two pearls of composers from the Baltic countries - Latvian Maijas Einfelde's contemplative pictorial soundscape of the sun "And a Tricolour Sun Shines on Everything" and Lithuanian Justė Janulytė's musical interplay of the time of day "Elongation of Nights". In the arsenal of the wide artistic interests of the orchestra and the soloist, the concert program also found a place for classicism. Two large-scale opuses by Joseph Haydn will be presented to the German public - Concerto for cello and orchestra in C major and Symphony No. 104 in D major ("Salomon").
