Maestro, let's go!

On November 9, a three-day recording session in the 1st studio of Latvian Radio has ended for the album recording "Songs Without Words" by maestro Raimonds Pauls and Sinfonietta Rīga. The composer’s legendary melodies were arranged by the prominent British trombonist, composer and arranger Callum Au. He is known for collaboration with such World jazz heavyweights as Quincy Jones, Michael Bublé and Metropole Orkest.

The backbone of the orchestra's rhythm in this project is formed by Māris Briežkalns (drums) and Toms Poišs (double bass), while at the Sinfonietta Rīga conductor's desk stood Normunds Šnē.
