Mareks Pinta

Clarinet

Mareks began his musical activities in clarinet performance at 8 years of age under Vilnis Borovskis, later studying in Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Secondary School under Uldis Plēpis. He obtained a Professional Bachelor’s degree from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under prof. Sigurds Circenis, and furthered his education in the Royal Conservatory of the Hague under Sjef Douwes and Ab Vos.

His first employers were the Orchestra RIGA, and he has occasionally worked in the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.

Since 2006 Mareks Pinta has been playing in the State Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga, and since 2014 he is also the E flat clarinettist with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.

He most enjoys playing in chamber music programmes.

Pinta’s free time is mostly spent with his family, but he also enjoys sports, reading and relaxing by the nature.
