Artūrs Šults

French horn

Artūrs Šults studied in the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under Arvīds Klišāns. In 2007 he participated in Socrates Erasmus program and improved his Professional experience in the Rotterdam  Music Academy, in the Netherlands under Martin van de Merwe. Artūrs has worked in  The RIGA Professional Symphonic Band and Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, performed with  the Riga Festival Orchestra, International Youth Symphony Orchestra in Denmark, The Latvian National Opera Orchestra and The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. Since 2006. Artūrs Šults is the principal french horn in the chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga, since 2009. – the principal french horn in The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.

He has participated in master classes with Christian Lampert (in Germany), Kalvero Kulmala (in Finland), performed  in Tartu French Horn Days in Estonia. Artūrs Šults has won several competitions, including J. Jurjāns International Fench Horn Competition (1st place in 1997, 2nd place in 2001) and A. Jurjāns International Wind Instrument Competition.
