Jenss Emīls Holms
Trumpet
Jens Emil Holm was born in 1989 and received his first musical education in Esbjerg, a town in Denmark's south-west. In 2008 he graduated from MGK Esbjerg and Ribe Katedralskole, and began his undergraduate studies at The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus under Kristian Steenstrup and Martin Schuster. Along with the studies, he gained experience performing with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. In 2009 he trained at a masterclass in Sillico, Tuscany, and appeared on stage with the Prinsens Musikkorps in the International Trombone Associations festival.
In 2011 he graduated from The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus, continuing to perform as the trumpet section assistant with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and Slesvigske Musikkorps in Haderslev.
As an Erasmus exchange student, in 2012 he trained at the at Conservatori del Liceu under the distinguished professors Luis Gonzalez and Josep Casado. In 2013 he frequently assisted in the Prinsens Musikkorps, playing trumpet and cornet, and participated in the Baltic Youth Philharmonic under the lead of Kristjan Järvi and Kurt Masur.
In 2014 he became the principal trumpet at the C/O chamber orchestra.
In 2015 Jens Emil participated in several productions as an assistant with The Royal Danish Orchestra (Opera) including Wagner's Lohengrin, Verdi's Macbeth and Massenet's Don Quixote.
In 2016 he received a Master's degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Music. He has worked in the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, substituting in the trumpet section, and as an assistant in the Malmø Symphony Orchestra (Sweden).
